2023 Annual Awards & Volunteer Celebration!

Join us on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023 from 4-8 p.m. at Joe’s Movement Emporium in Mount Rainier, MD!

This event is rooted in sharing the stories and uplifting the efforts of Neighborhood Design Center volunteers and community partners.

Awards will be presented to community advocates, design volunteers, long-standing partners, project champions, and visionary leaders.

Don’t miss the beer garden with tasty tacos and vintage bar. Move inside for the main event-- the awards, hearing from special guest Peter Shapiro. Have a laugh at the photo booth, a treat at the dessert bar and close out the fun dancing to live salsa music!

Join us to celebrate and reminisce about NDC’s 30 years of service in Prince George’s County, and help us toast to 30 more!

Tickets are $75 and include food, refreshments, and entertainment.

Event FAQ

Food? Tasty tacos will be served up to guests by Banditos food truck

Drinks? Cocktails, Beer and Wine provided by the vintage travelling Lucky Penny Bar at our outdoor beer and cocktail garden.

Music? Live music by the renowned salsa band DoPaNo All-Stars! Get dancing!

Dress code? Dressy casual, but wear what makes you comfortable! Take pictures to remember at the Side A Photo photo booth and take home a special memento.

Socially distanced? We will have a combination of indoor and outdoor space. Masks are welcome.

Accessibility? The building is accessible with a ramp entrance and ground floor event space.

Parking? Metered street parking is available.  Carpooling is encouraged. Bike parking is adjacent to the main entrance.

Silent Auction!? We will have locally sourced auction items available for on-site bidding! Work by local artists are included, as well as local restaurants and experience gift cards and tickets. Winners will be announced at 7:45 p.m.
