The first started with six teens from Sarah Wise Wooten Young Ladies Academy (SWWYLA) and their idea about wellness. Neighborhood Design Center volunteers joined these young scholars and Ivy Community Charities to design a wellness garden, which was installed at the end of 2020 and showcased on Sunday as part of a tour.
We also saw the groundbreaking of a project that started in 2013 when NDC joined Ivy Community Charities to create preliminary designs for the Ivy Village Incubator for Nonprofit Excellence (Ivy VINE).
The Ivy Community Charities of Prince George’s County has raised nearly $100K since January 2021 towards the VINE Incubator!
The project will provide entrepreneurs and emerging nonprofits office space, access to business resources and training to build their capacity to serve local youth and families.
