The term for a Director on the Board is three years, and can be renewed for a second three-year term. A slate of candidates for election to the Board will be presented to the full Board in spring 2026, with board service starting in July 2026.
Understand NDC’s mission, history, constituencies, projects, and core values.
Attend and participate in Board meetings (6 per year), committees and activities.
Be an advocate for NDC, its mission, programs and accomplishments.
Help identify potential opportunities for new projects, partnerships, supporters and volunteers.
Support NDC financially by participating in fundraising including: soliciting volunteers, sponsors, donors, and by making a personal contribution.
Board members gain firsthand experience supporting equitable, community-led revitalization efforts at a pivotal moment, as public investment and new models for engagement create real momentum for change.
